It's Ok Thursday!

Another awesome blog from my friend Jen, this one has a nifty give-a-way today called "It's Ok Thursdays". So, without further ado;

Its Ok Thursdays

..to dislike Kelly Ripa and change the channel whenever "Live With Kelly..." comes on

..to be super duper self conscious about my upper arm flab

..to sometimes not want to volunteer

..to think every cancer society, cancer organization, cancer institute etc. totally mismanages their billions of $$.

..that I haven't read past page 5 of "The Life of Pi" on my iPad

..to yearn to find time to work on my Project Life 2013-that I haven't even started on yet

..to be sick and tired of every piece of clothing in my closet

So tell me, what's Ok with you?

Blessings

Making myself a sandwich for lunch, I realized (which I do often) how blessed I am. Every day I count my blessings. Losing my mom, sister and now my brother is heartbreaking but I have a lot to be thankful for; a fantastic husband, 3 awesome kids and daughter in law, future son in law, 2 amazing grands and my sister Wendy! I also have a beautiful home. I really can't imagine a sweeter life than the one I have.
Tonight I think I will have a glass of wine and make a toast to all my blessings LOL.

Do you have a lot to be thankful for? I hope so.

Saturday Satire

Yes it's Saturday! I'm still in Mississippi spending the last few precious moments that my brother has with him. He's comfortable and waiting for his daughter (we think) who arrives in about an hour.
In the meantime I thought a little lightheartedness would be a nice diversion.

Bubba and Junior were standing at the base of a flagpole, looking up. A woman walked by and asked what they were doing. "We're supposed to find the height of the flagpole," said Bubba, "but we don't have a ladder." The woman took a wrench from her purse, loosened a few bolts, and laid the pole down. Then she took a tape measure from her pocket, took a measurement and announced, "Eighteen feet, six inches," and walked away. Junior shook his head and laughed. "Ain't that just like a dumb blonde! We ask for the height, and she gives us the length!"

A hypnotist was brutally attacked on stage yesterday after he instructed a member of the audience to pretend to be a lion.

Went to a petting zoo last week with only 1 dog . It was a shitzu.

I hope you have a pleasant weekend.

Monday's Gratitudes

Yes, I have a lot to be grateful for.

My friend Jen It's my life who lets me steal some cool stuff from her blog.
My lovingly understanding husband
My sister (who keeps telling me we're going to land up like arsenic and old lace)
These last few precious moments with my brother
My daughter who brightened my day with FaceTime
Dairy Queen
My friends and family who read my blog

And finding quotes like this one on Facebook;

My Toby

I hear my precious Toby is very ill. Paul took him to the vet on Friday and he wasn't better so he had to take him to the hospital and he stayed over night on Saturday.

So, I hear today he's not better. Really wheezing and coughing with lots of nasal congestion. Needless to say I'm so worried about him.

Here in MS, we're hoping to see hospice either this afternoon or tomorrow morning at the latest.

My Brudder

That's how he always signed his emails to me, "love, your Brudder".
Well I'm here in Mississippi and have been since last Tuesday. Wendy and I are really struggling here. Deb too. Day by day, just take it day by day.
