Brrrrrr...and more

WOW it's cold outside!!

The whole country is being blasted by bitter cold.
Even Florida!
Let's move on to something more pleasant...like knitting!
I knitted this darling hat for Wendy...
I also knitted a hat for Sue but I still need to add a button. I'll post a pic after I do that. And I've started on a wrap for myself. It's called Mrs. Patmor's Wrap, named after the head cook in the series Downton Abbey on Masterpiece Theater. Wendy, Dory and I recently started watching the series from a 3 season disc set I bought. Season 4 just started and it's being recorded so we can watch when we're done with the first 3. IT IS SOOO GOOD!! I will post pics of the wrap when I'm done. For now here is a glimpse of the luscious yarn I'm using (which I purchased while on our trip to Michigan)...

Now I'm switching over to SCRAPBOOKING (and card making). Here is a card I made for a friend recovering from surgery (I've made this card with different colors so many times because I just LOVE it).

And I've finally started on my Project Life for both 2013 (only got to February last year) and 2014. Here's my title page for 2013...

Jennifer and Stephen.

Jessie and Eric

And the title page for 2014 (I'll add pictures throughout the year)

I want to show you a really cute pair of earrings my DDIL Jessie gave me.

Aren't they adorable??
She told me when she saw them they reminded her of the cross stitch I did hanging in the living room.....

Solitary Skater I crossed stitched in 1987.
Sorry for all the glare. Those damn windows that let in all that gorgeous sunshine!

So, I think that's it for now. As always....

It's beginning to look...

a lot like Christmas...
That's what my title was on December 8. I can't believe I didn't get around to finishing it...or even close to posting and it's now January!!
Playing catch-up is going to be heavy photo laden and I apologize for that but here goes...

I got some help from Logan putting ornaments on the tree.

I loved decorating for the holidays!

Had fun with Emmy and her class making graham cracker houses.
Had lunch with my bff Helen at Cheesecake Factory in Crocker Park
Crocker Park shopping plaza is magical at Christmas time

I got baking help from my favorite elves :)
As usual I was spoiled!

Wendy and I both got eye masks from Dory, (I have a picture of Wendy wearing hers but I'm afraid she'd kill me if I posted it).

My new North Face!!!
Although I have a lot of "everyday moment" photos from December, I'm going to put those in my Project Life album.

As always....
