Congratulations Jenn!!

Jennifer is going to be a Bowling Green University Police Officer starting on August 2nd! We're so proud of her. She will have jurisdiction of the city, county and all college campuses in the U.S.
So, of course we had to throw her a congratulations party...

I hope you are all having a nice weekend!

Great weekend!

Saturday we went to the Avon Lake Wine Festival
and had a really nice time with Joe & Diane. Lots of wine and laughs.

Paul, me, Joe & Diane

Had the kids over for dinner on Sunday and had a little birthday celebration for Jessie (her birthday was on the 9th).

Nothing quite like a DQ ice cream cake on a hot day!

I got a bit of knitting done with my buddy Toby right there laying on my pattern on my lap...
He's such a sweetheart!

I hope you had as nice a weekend as I did and as always....

Jenn got her FISH!

Not sure if I posted about Jenn and Chris's honeymoon and the HUGE sailfish Jenn caught while deep-sea fishing in Cancun. Looking at photos, I think I might have turned green in the rough water. This thing weighed 90 lbs and was over 7' long!! Even the captain said it was the largest fish he'd seen caught on his boat and he'd been captain for 33 year!

Check out the rough water!

So, without a question she had it mounted. It arrived yesterday in a huge box which now sits in the garage (temporarily).

They (the taxidermist) asked her if she wanted the sail fin fixed and evened out and she said absolutely not, I want just the way it was when I caught it.

Way to go baby girl!!

As always....

Uneventful, just the way I like it!

So, 4th of July came and went without any pitfalls. Jenn, Chris and Stephen went out to a friends to party. Eric, Jessie and the grands are visiting her family in VA so Paul, Wendy and I went to The Tall Ships Festival in Cleveland. It was ok. I would have loved to board and take a tour of one of the ships but Paul didn't want to and Wendy didn't want to wait in line. So, we went and saw and left.

I started an online knitting KAL which is a "Knit A-Long". We're making a shawl. I got started a little late since my yarn got tangled and it took me 2 days to untangle it so I could ball it up. Anyway, here's a sneak peak...

Yes, that's my helper Toby on my lap :)
